MONTREAL, CANADA. - SavyTel Communications, a leading global VoIP service provider, has announced the launch of the Beta version of its VoIP Broadband services in US and Canada on Feb 8, 2005.

VoIP technology allows to make and to receive phone calls through an Internet (IP) connection where the voice stream is broken into packets and sent over the IP network. Broadband VoIP services, requiring a Broadband Internet connection such as DSL, cable or office LAN, provide a voice quality indistinguishable from the traditional phone service at a fraction of the prices charged by the traditional phone service providers.

Savytel VoIP Broadband services, aimed at replacing the traditional phone services, provide its users to receive and make calls to all telephone numbers in the US and Canada as well as to global destinations at strongly discounted prices. The subscriber can choose from 3 residential plans (Residential Basic Silver, Residential Unlimited Gold and Residential Unlimited Platinum) and 2 business plans (Business Basic Silver, Business Unlimited Gold). A Linksys PAP2 Phone Adapter is offered free with the subscription of any plan and will be shipped to its customers pre-configured. In addition, more than 15 features are also offered free, including Call ID, Voice Mail, Call Waiting, 3-Way Conference Call and Call Transfer.

Initially, the services will be offered in California (US) and Quebec (Canada). The company is planning to rapidly cover the rest of the US and Canada.

With the launch of VoIP Broadband services, Savytel is solidifying its position in the newly emerging and rapidly expanding market of VoIP telephone services. With its prices charged to users at a fraction of the prices charged by the circuit-switched telephony, SavyTel Broadband VoIP services are targeting customers from the traditional telephone service providers.
